Problem:  The British public are desensitised to climate change campaigns.

Insight: Chips are the UK’s favourite food according to YouGov.

Solution: Raise awareness of an often forgotten aspect of climate change, crop failure, by taking people’s chips away.

My roles: Copy and strategy

The stunt will spark outrage, as well as huge PR moments. TikTok’s favourite interviewer Max Fosh will also chat with the man on the street and poke fun at the frustration.

With over 10,500 chippies in the UK, Greenpeace will mobilise the UK’s favourite institution, the chip shop, to simulate the reality of crop failure.

To combat the fall out from the stunt, Greenpeace will stage the last chippy in the world.

Offering chips and climate education to hungry people.
